Subject: RE: what do regions do if they are given checks for registration payment?
Good morning,
Here’s where we are:
The system does not give parents the option of paying by cash or check so that they don’t think they are done. Regions can put other messages up about accepting cash/check.
If a parent wants to pay by cash or check, they must provide the Region with the total amount due – the Region fee (including any mark up for the CC fee) and the non-refundable AYSO Annual National Membership Fee, etc.
The Region will have to pay the National Membership Fee (NMF) to the National Office (NO) before the player can be assigned to teams. This can be done by the Region with the Corp Am Ex card for each player after the Region has collected the cash/check.
Very shortly we will announce an option for Regions to generate a BSB report, much like an eAYSO Remittance Advice, mark the unpaid players they want to pay the NMF for and submit the spreadsheet and a check to the National Office. The check must include a $1 per player processing fee.
We want to continue to encourage people to use a pre-paid credit card whenever possible.
Local gas stations, Walmart, ShopKo and the like sell these pre-paid CC. (DSK)
